We've been busy raising funds for ASHA!

7th November: Fish and Chip Supper, Rives
48 members and supporters sat down to a quite delicious fish
and chip supper cooked by the Dordogne Chippy at the Salle
In addition the ASHA ladies had made some lovely puddings
for us all to enjoy.
During the evening members were invited to join in a picture quiz,
which was great fun.
A very big thank you to the ASHA Events Team for all their hard work
in hosting the evening and all the preparation beforehand.
We raised 355 euros for our charity.
22nd October - Quiz Night at the Monte Cristo, Villereal
48 people, 12 teams, battled it out with some lovely red wine for
the winners and chocolates for the runners up.
As always our Quiz Master John Kearsey did not disappoint with
a wide variety of questions which kept us thinking and exercising
the grey matter all evening.
A profit of 368 euros was raised for ASHA.
Thank you John for all your hard work, to those who donated
raffle prizes and to all who came along and supported us."
10th October - Book Sale @ Salle Jean Moulin Villereal
ASHA held its Autumn Book Sale at the Salle Jean Moulin
in Villeréal. Entrance was free, all fiction books were 1 euro,
non fiction 1 euro for 5 with tea, coffee and biscuits available.
The Book Sale raised 330 euros for our charity.
Many thanks to all who supported us and especially to the
members and supporters who did all the hard work loading,
unloading and sorting the books.
8th October: Sponsored Ride at Cantemerle
Thank you to the 10 riders & their horses who took part in our
sponsored ride yesterday, organised by Helen Green.
The weather was ideal & we enjoyed a lovely ride of just over
20kms.Thanks to the support team for bringing our picnics &
water for the horses.
Thanks to everyone who sponsored us.
We haven't collected all the money yet but we will have at least
750€ which is a fantastic sum towards our funds. Well done everyone !
4th October: Holistic Horse Day at Cantemerle
Thank you to Helen Green for yet another Holistic day which
was full of interest to all who attended.
We all took away something new which we can introduce
to our lives - people and horses.
We had attendees form a long distance away , so we made
new friends & contacts in the north.
Helen very generously donated 110€ to ASHA funds on the day.
Thank you Helen.
27th September: Journee du Cheval at Villereal
In addition to a team of ASHA members taking part in the randonee,
once again we are planning to take a stand on this important day
in the year for the local horse world.
30th August: Open Day and Country Fayre
Despite the very hot August day everyone enjoyed a delicious
BBQ and had fun joining in with the various activities.
In particular the egg and spoon race, with the children on
horseback with their adult partner having to complete the
course in fancy dress, was great fun for both participants
We raised in excess of 850 euros which is a truly magnificent
In addition the President of the DLC (Dordogne Ladies) presented
us with a cheque for 660 euros, a very generous donation.
A further donation of 50 euros was received in the post following
the article in The Connexion newspaper.
A very big thank you to Helen Green for hosting the event at
Cantemerle and to all those who helped and supported us.
28th June: Garden Fete @ Gervesie, Monflanquin
On a glorious sunny afternoon everyone enjoyed a most
successful Garden Fete.
The atmosphere was quite lovely in a beautiful location.
With the monies from the gate, stalls, tombola, "Guess the
Weight of the Cake", sale of merchandise we raised a superb
€1246. A very big thank you to all involved, both helpers
and supporters, who made the Fete so successful.
A very special thank you to Charlotte and Nigel for hosting
the day in a quite lovely venue.
An excellent sum considering how much else was going on in the area.
21st June: Holistic Horse Day
Although very hot another wonderful day.
Participants and spectators had a most instructive day with
Helen guiding horses and people.
Helen as always was very generous and donated 90 euros to ASHA.
14th May: Tea on the Lawn at Near Monflanquin
Despite the weather, we had a wonderful time at Tea on the Lawn
A huge Thank You to Timmy & Jim for hosting the afternoon and
allowing us to wander in their lovely garden.
Also to all who made sandwiches and cakes, and served them
to the people who came to support us.
We raised an amazing 500€.

28 March: Fish and Chip supper, Villereal
A most enjoyable evening was organised by the ASHA Events Team
at the Salle Jean Moulin in Villereal.
More than 50 ASHA members and supporters sat down to enjoy the
delicious meal of fish and chips with mushy peas, cooked by The
Dordogne Chippy. This was followed by a wonderful array of puddings
made by the ASHA ladies.
During the evening members were invited to join in a picture quiz, which was great fun.
A very big thank you to everyone for all their hard work in hosting the evening.
A magnificent profit of over 500 € was raised.
22 March: Holistic Horse Day
Thanks to Helen for another wonderful day.
Participants & spectators were treated to different approaches
to working with a variety of horses.
Even the weather was kind to us.
